| The house and grounds are not open to the public but the house can be seen from from the A86 on the opposite side of Loch Laggan. Queen Victoria looked into buying Ardverikie House but, it is reputed, she was put off the idea by the local midge population. Instead she bought Balmoral on the other side of Scotland |
