From Oban head north on the A828 to Fort William for ten miles or so. At the roundabout before the new bridge over Loch Creran take the left turn to go along the loch side. Just after you pass under the bridge there are some parking spaces next to the loch. This scene was filmed there although the road has been changed since the movie was made in 1959
