Glen Affric was used as a filming location for the 1971 BBC series of The Last of the Mohicans. A fort and wigwams were constructed next to Loch Beinn a'Mheadhion. This is not the first time that Glen Affric stood in for Canada as a filming location, the 1953 movie The Kidnappers was also filmed in this area.
