The hunt for the Basking Shark in Ring of Bright Water was filmed on the Firth of Lorne. The large distinctive lighthouse off the southern end of the island of Lismore can be seen in the distance although not visible in the still on the left. Also filmed in the Firth of Lorne looking towards this lighthouse was a scene on the journey to find the missing Mij (the still on the right).
