 From Portree take the A855 (partially single track) towards Staffin. The Old Man of Storr is visible for many miles around. There are many small
parking spots alongside the road before you reach the closest point to the Storr. One with a good view is next to a rather nice waterfall.

| There is also a car park at the closest point on the road to the Storr.
Following the felling of all the trees there is now a clear view up
to the Storr from the roadside nearby. A path leads up from the
carpark directly to the pinacle of the Storr although it does
zig-zag a bit initially to gain height. |
