Glenturret Glenturret

Glenturret Distillery, suprisingly given the circumstances of the plot, appears as itself in Complicity. This even extended to the headed notepaper on which the redundancy notice was seen in the movie. Maybe they weren't told of the movie's plot! Or is any publicity good publicity?

In the still on the left Cameron Colley (Johnny Lee Miller) is seen in the visitor car park for the Distillery. The scene shown in the still on the right was filmed at the back of the Distillery next to the car park.

Towser, the distillery cat which died in 1987 aged 24, was famed for her mouse catching capabilities and is noted in the Guiness Book of Records as World Mousing Champion having killed over 30,000 mice in her time. Which makes the body count in Complicity small fry!. There is a statue of the cat at the distillery and it was reported by the BBC on 28th March 2005 that the distillery is looking for a replacement cat.

Glenturret Distillery is claimed to be the oldest whisky distillery in Scotland and was established in 1775. Like like most distilleries Glenturret is open to the public. It is located just outside Crieff in Perthshire and is signposted from the A85 Crieff to Comrie road.
