A deleted scene on the Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets DVD shows Harry Potter sitting overlooking a loch. This was filmed from the hill behind the Glennfinnan visitor center looking down Loch Shiel. A path next to the visitor center goes partway up the hill to a viewpoint. From here go to the right and further up the hill to get to the filming location.
