The scene where the postman (Howard Connell) goes to the police station to explain why he has not been able to deliver the summonses was filmed in Main Street, Kyle of Lochalsh looking towards the Kyle Hotel and the Royal Bank of Scotland building.

The Police Sergeant was Archie Duncan remembered by many as Little John in The Adventures of Robin Hood. The police constable on the left was Ian Macnaughton, director of the Monty Pythons Flying Circus television series.
