Castle Stalker is located near the A828 which runs from Glen Coe to Oban and is approximately half way between the two. From this road the castle can be seen in the distance but there is nowhere signposted nearby for parking. However if coming from the Glen Coe direction there is space to park a few cars on the right of the road at the top of the hill just above Port Appin. There is also space to park one car a few yards further down the road on the left.
At the bottom of the hill just past the large bend is a small road on the right hand side next to a post office box on a pole. This road goes down towards the beach and has space to park a couple of cars near the bottle re-cycling bins. Next to them a gate gives access to the beach from where there are the closest views of the castle.
The castle is in private ownership but admission is available by prior appointment. It dates from the 15th century.
